Ok so I have a new theory on the newest 3301 clue for 2016. My theory is extremely abstract and some of you will not agree with it. But that is ok. I only want people to see this in a new light. So. On to the theory. I have decided to think outside the box in this one. I think that the Liber Primus decryption is a elaborate and lengthly diversion to the real solution. I think that the true answer lies within the name itself: Liber Primus. So this is what I came up with. I fitted the words Liber and Primus into a number cipher and matched each letter to its respective number and my theory is that these are possibly coordinates of some kind. Here is what I got: 12.92518 and 16.189132119. On a map these coordinates (Latitude and Longitude) lead to a city in Niger, Africa. If the Lat. and Long. are inversed, it is a city in Chad, Africa. I do not know if this is significant or not. Onto the second part. The put the words Liber and Primus into an anagram solver and came up with these words: Birle and Purism. I can't find any correlation between these words or those words and the African coordinates. Again, this is only a far-fetched theory. "Its words are the map". This could refer to the cities I came up with. "Their meaning is the road". This might refer in some way to Birle and Purism. "And their numbers are their direction". This could have something to do with the coordinates I found. I have not gotten any farther than this and I don't see this as a very promising theory but maybe someone can come along and build on it in some way. For all of you still deciphering runes, please at least consider my idea. It would not hurt to think outside the box on this one. Thank you.

It's a very interesting theory! I only learn about cicada today, so I can't help you very much... But, what if Birle and Purism meat something in an other language? I don't know, like I said, I'm new to this ^^

Thank you. I am very new also. I started taking an interest in this just today actually.

If anyone has anything to add to my theory, please do.

That's a great theory, I certainly agree that thinking outside of the box is a good approach! I am thinking that because the answers to the clues and the clues themselves are so convoluted that perhaps they are designed with many different pathways to solve them!? Like perhaps the skills extend OUTSIDE of just the STEM disciplines. "All intelligence is sacred" could refer to multiple intelligence theory! So I'm going to try solving these myself from perspectives which suit my particular skill sets, like history literature, language etc. most of the humanities and arts disciplines. What do you think?

I think Literary genome might be right. If it helps, I know purism is an art courant and bible means to pour a drink... maybe we're looking for a painting ?

That seems very plausible. The painting idea intrigues me.

Also, I am still holding strong on the idea that the whole Liber Primus decryption thing is just and elongated diversion to throw you off track. To me, its VERY plausible...

We need to continue investigating this.
You could very well be onto something.
Also, thanks for contributing to Calypne.

Looking at most puzzles, the norm is to have some sort of encryption in your puzzle. Cicada isn't the "norm" so I'm sure that Cicada wouldn't have encryption as a big part of their puzzle.

Ahh see? Well received ideas my friend. You were not made out to be an 'utter fool' after all.

Well, I really do hope I'm on to something. Knowing that I possibly have part of it solved is a really exhilarating feeling, to be honest.

That seems very plausible. The painting idea intrigues me. I've found a few paintings that could be linked to the idea of birle and purism. They were made by Amédée Ozenfant, a french painter. It seems very improbable that this is a good lead but meh... If you have time maybe you can check it out
